The Skills Academy works directly with its network of further education colleges to ensure that training provision meets employers' needs. Each College has been carefully selected by the Skills Academy's Board. Each has an excellent track record in teaching and learning in the arts and a substantial geographical reach, as well as the enthusiasm and capability to engage with cultural sector employers.

Together with the Skills Academy, the Principals of the Founder College are committed to:

• Promoting opportunities for non-graduate entry routes to the sector through apprenticeships;
• Developing industry-endorsed careers information, advice and guidance;
• Providing training solutions for those working in the industry;
• Developing high profile national projects;
• Working closely with Skills Academy Industry Members in each Founder College area.

The Colleges are located in all nine English regions and reach over 400,000 learners across 96 campuses.
