Cluster Leads Project - Going Local

Our Cluster Lead organisations will be leading projects and events locally

At the end of last year, we announced our eight partner organisations for the pilot stage of our 'Cluster Leads' programme. Notwithstanding the Christmas season, these organisations have all been busy, and they've already begun work on a number of regional projects for us.

Eight organisations have been selected to represent the Skills Academy in their local area. These are:

Creative Alliance (West Midlands / Birmingham)

Culture Works East (East of England / Norwich)

Higher Rhythm (Yorkshire / Doncaster)

Kala Sangam (Yorkshire / Bradford)

LARC (North West / Liverpool)

Real Ideas Organisation (South West / Plymouth)

The Mighty Creatives (East Midlands / Leicester)

The Sage Gateshead (North East / Gateshead).

They will be delivering a series of events and projects for employers in their local area, with the aim of increasing apprenticeship numbers in the regions and spreading the word about Skills Academy activity.

Many of their events are already announced, and as they are confirmed they will be announced here and added to the Skills Academy calendar.

The majority of events will be taking place in National Apprenticeships Week (6 - 10 February), with the intention of stimulating England-wide excitement about what apprenticeships can offer.

These projects are the first of a much more extensive Skills Academy presence nationwide, and we anticipate that they will help focus local knowledge on region-specific issues, helping to strengthen the industry as a whole, locally.

The pilot will run until 17 February. To find out more, please contact Kirsten Tambling (Employer Membership Officer) - kirsten.tambling@ccskills.org.uk
