This one-day training course offers an introduction to social networking and its benefits for youth arts organisations. The course looks at the advantages, risks and opportunities involved in social networking and includes guidelines and tips to safely and successfully use these tools to engage with young people and promote your activities.

The course will cover essentials such as Acceptable Use Policies and Child Protection procedures, and discuss digital footprints, social networking in a careers context and DigitalME’s Safe resources. The course is accompanied by an extensive e-pack containing platform guidelines, activity resources - including a specially developed resource for young people from DigitalME’s Safe programme – policy templates.

This course will allow you to develop the understanding and confidence required to safely use these innovative tools to improve your youth engagement and offer guidance to suit the individual needs of your organisation.
