SAFE ORGANISATIONS: Safer Communities & Safer Arts
Children England are delighted to be working in partnership with Artswork to support the voluntary and community arts and cultural sectors that work with children and young people through this informative regional seminar.
Date: Thursday 22nd March 2012, 1.00 – 4.30
Venue: The Phoenix, Leicester
This free seminar will offer the opportunity for voluntary and community Arts and cultural organisations to reinforce their commitment to safeguarding, to give them tools to develop their own processes for continuous improvement and tosupport them in the development of this.
They will also learn about the details of Safe Network’s Core Standards and its associated additional training opportunities and resources.
This seminar will include interactive exercises and opportunities to help attendees to develop confidence with using ICT based organisational assessment methods and action planning for Safeguarding.
In addition this seminar will also provide those attending with the opportunity to hear the latest updates from a speaker from the Independent Safeguarding Authority regarding the latest changes in legislation and the Duty to Refer.
Target Audience:Voluntary and community arts and cultural organisations that work with children and young people. This free seminar is open to paid staff, volunteers, Managers and Trustees and will have particular relevance to those that have specific responsibility for Safeguarding practice in their organisation.
