We are working with eight of our Industry Members across the country to deliver region-focused events in their areas. These projects are the first of a much more extensive Skills Academy presence nationwide, and we anticipate that they will help focus local knowledge on region-specific issues, particularly around apprenticeship numbers and skills development.
Higher Rhythm have teamed up with Generator to bring two special music industry information sessions to Yorkshire.
A session titled ‘Support and Making Money in the Music Industry’ will discuss new revenue streams and the key considerations around establishing your business model. There will be opportunities to discuss your personal business ideas and hopefully gain a valuable insight into expanding your model. You will also find out about organisations who will support your business and meet people local to you that you could work alongside on future projects.
This will be followed by a taster session of the Managing a Music Business Enterprise course. MMBE is a new qualification, developed by Generator that delivers the skills and knowledge essential to running a successful music business. It is the only bespoke fully accredited qualification for those looking to establish or expand a music business. MMBE is a 13 week programme designed to support those who want to be an artist manager, a promoter, a booking agent, run their own record label or publishing company. As well as learners achieving a full Level 3 Diploma they will develop their own business plan that they can implement when they leave the programme.
This, the first of these events, will be held at Mercure St Paul's Hotel & Spa, Sheffield.
