With the wide range of careers available in the creative and cultural industry it's difficult to know where to start for information. This is why we have created some resources which have proved to be really useful for young people looking for a career in theatre or live music.

getintolivemusic.org has been officially launched with heaps of information on how to bag yourself a career in live music. We have a panel of experts waiting to answer your questions about everything to do with working in the live music industry as well as the latest opportunities and careers advice and guidance.

 

getintotheatre.org hopes to open your eyes to the huge variety of careers in the industry – and different ways to get there. You can read interviews with people who are already working in theatre, discover over 80 careers in theatre, view our current opportunities, and much more.

Apprenticeships...

Apprenticeships give young people an opportunity to learn on the job while being paid a wage by their employer. Apprentices gain an understanding of the realities of the workplace, learn new skills and increase their knowledge of the area they want to work in.

Creative apprenticeships have been developed with creative and cultural sector employers in Live Events & Promotion, Music Business, Technical Theatre, Costume & Wardrobe, Cultural Heritage, Community Arts, Design and Jewellery, Silversmithing & Allied Trades is currently in development.

Our colleges...

We work directly with our 20 colleges all over the UK to ensure they have access to unique and exciting training opportunities such as our Festival stage side days and our Production day visits where students get to experience how some of the UK's biggest festivals and concerts are put together.
