Founder Colleges

The NSA is working directly with its network of 20 Founder Colleges to ensure that training provision meets employers’ needs.

Together with the NSA, the Principals of the Founder College are committed to:

• Promoting opportunities for non-graduate entry-routes to the sector through Apprenticeships;
• Developing industry-endorsed careers information, advice and guidance;
• Providing training solutions for those working in the industry;
• Developing high profile national projects together;
• Working closely with NSA Industry Members in each Founder College area.

The Founder Colleges are located in all nine English regions reaching over 400,000 learners across 96 campuses. Colleges have been selected by the NSA Board based on an excellent track record in teaching and learning in the performing and visual arts, geographical reach and an ability and willingness to engage with cultural sector employers.
