Have your say - Consultation on the National Occupational Standards for Technical Theatre
Creative & Cultural Skills is undertaking a major review of the National Occupational Standards for Technical Theatre developed in 2007.
The review will address numerous issues, including:
- Are there missing or new occupational areas or tasks that should be included within the National Occupational Standards?
- Are there any elements in the Standards that are no longer applicable?
- Are the units up to date and forward looking?
- Is the language and terminology user-friendly enough?
- Is the size of units appropriate?
- Are the titles reflective of the content of the unit?
The work aims to build on work and research that has been carried out by Skillscene, the organisation representing trade associations in the theatre sector. In particular, the work on these National Occupational Standards will link with Skillsbanks (frameworks for Continuing Professional Development) being developed by Skillscene on behalf of the National Skills Academy.
