John Seekings 

John Seekings has spent most of his working life in the theatre, and joined the Royal Opera House in 1979 as Technical Manager.

He has toured extensively with The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet (formerly Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet), and has extensive experience of managing change at the Royal Opera House.

He directed the redevelopment of the Royal Opera House from 1995 to its opening in 1999, and since 1997 has also been the Director of Operations with responsibility for all areas of Technical, Production, Facilities and Customer Services, together with IT and Commercial operations. He also has a Strategic Planning and Risk Management role for the House.

John is also a non-executive Director of TTTS Limited, and an executive Director of ROH Developments Ltd and ROH Trading Limited.

He is a council member of NCDT and a Trustee for Covent Garden Area Trust.
